SlackMaGirdle is a Border Morris Dancing side based in Newmarket, Suffolk. They practice every Tuesday between 8 to 10pm during the dark cold nights and dance out at local pubs, events and festivals during the Spring and Summer. Beginners are always welcome to join us whatever the age, gender or ability.

SlackMaGirdle - Morris with a Difference!

Origins

SlackMaGirdle was first established in 2016 and named after an ancient Cider Apple that the Squire had enjoyed so much that it made him want to sing, dance and play his accordion in praise. Add to this an eclectic group of musicians and Dancers and its a guaranteed recipe for fun, good fellowship, and great times!
